Chinese smartphone brand Vivo has picked Sneaky Zombie to manage PR duties in Malaysia for six months, following a pitch held last month. Work for Vivo rolled out on 15 February.
Founded in mid-2017, Sneaky Zombie is a boutique brand communications agency based in Kuala Lumpur and the list of clients it has worked with include Hard Rock Cafe, Carousell, Chatime and KIPLING.
“We are looking forward to working with Sneaky Zombie’s highly motivated and talented team which will help us accelerate our share of voice in the smartphone market,” Carmen Yong, brand manager of Vivo Malaysia.
In a statement to A+M, executive producer Biresh Vrajlal said the team was chosen for its track record, team profile and proposal. “Our team will be working very closely with Vivo to further enhance its brand’s share of voice and look forward to developing relevant campaigns that will support their growing market dominance,” he added.
Vivo recently unveiled its new logo to reflect its innovation and appeal to a global audience. The new logo features a new shade of blue and bespoke English and Chinese fonts. It also includes simplified lines and sharpened angles. The “Vivo Blue” colour has also taken a more saturated shade as a result of a study by the smartphone brand to better understand consumer visual habits and their visual receptiveness to digital displays. The new color is deemed more soothing to the eye and the color is the ideal visual backdrop for the company’s creative and expressive character.
