Tognum Takes Asia Focus, Picks Agencies

Global - German supplier of engines and propulsion systems The Tognum Group, has selected Dentsu Möbius and mcgarrybowen in Dusseldorf for its digital business, following a three-way pitch.The pitch was led by Singapore-based regional digital agency Dentsu Möbius and mcgarrybowen in Dusseldorf. Mcgarrybowen worked together with Dentsu Singapore, the incumbent brand agency in APAC.With the account win, both agencies will cover Tognum's digital requirements, including media, creative, campaign management, content, data and technology, for all brands such as MTU, MTU Onsite Energy and L'Orange.Cybercom was the technology solutions partner in the consortium.Markus Keiper, head of Tognum Internet/Intranet, global brand management and Asia Pacific marketing communications, said Dentsu/mcgarrybowen were chosen for the global digital solutions offering, which is "pivotal for Tognum and its brands to offer innovative digital solutions to customers".Angeli Beltran (pictured), managing director of Dentsu Möbius, added that both agencies will be equipped to help Tognum "move forward in leveraging digital platform to realise their vision of ‘glocalisation'".In  2011, Tognum generated revenue of around Euro2.97 billion and employs more than 10,000 people. Tognum has a global manufacturing, distribution and service structure with 24 fully consolidated companies. Since September 2011, Engine Holding GmbH, a joint venture between Daimler AG and Rolls -Royce Group plc, has a majority holding in Tognum.
