Text100 hires UK talent to accelerate change in Asia business

Communications agency Text100 has appointed Lee Nugent as managing director, consulting and strategy Asia Pacific. Starting on 1 July, Lee (pictured) will be located in Singapore and report into Anne Costello, regional director, Text100 Asia Pacific.

Lee’s remit will be to accelerate the agency’s growth in integrated consulting. He will partner with Costello to increase the speed of the agency’s transformation and to add new service capabilities, benefiting employees and clients across the region.

Previously, Lee was CEO of the Nelson Bostock Group in London, where he led the diversification of the business resulting in 50% revenue and PBIT growth in the period 2009-13. He also drove the agency’s transformation from a standalone PR firm to an integrated communications group.

“When I left my last position, I said I was looking for a new and different challenge,” added Lee Nugent, MD, Consulting & Strategy, Text100 Asia.

“I wanted to continue to shape and build teams and deliver next-generation communications programmes for clients. Text100 has presented me with the perfect opportunity to realise this goal. The sheer size of Asia and diversity of the existing client-base, coupled with the Text’s global reach and its desire to place the skills we as PRs offer at the centre of ‘integration’ initiatives make it the ideal agency for me to start the next phase of my career,” Lee said.

“The UK market in many respects is ahead of Asia in terms of agency evolution and broader comms-led, marketing consultancy that clients are increasingly looking for,” said Anne Costello. “Lee’s experience will help us accelerate our own change and provide best practice consulting to our clients.”
