Tencent’s iPick launches first TVC to promote food social network

We know that the age-old question “Where should we eat?” can be tough to answer.

Tencent’s food and beverage social app iPick teams up with Metta to release its first TVC titled “友傾友講有好嘢食”, aiming to engage food lovers sharing their passions for gastronomy with one another.

The commercial features a song adapted from the 90’s classic movie Young and Dangerous, asking audiences to download the app.

The TVC illustrates how iPick contains credible sources of information to help users make their next dining decision.

“We undertook extensive research to better understand foodies’ desires and needs for a new type of platform that offers more than just restaurant listings,” said Norman Tam, general manager, Hong Kong and Taiwan operations, international business group at Tencent.

“We are excited to present a new and improved app that provides users with an experience unlike any other to improve and advance food discovery in Hong Kong.”

The TVC will be supported by marketing activities across various other media, including social, outdoor and promotional activities.
