Swiss-Garden International names COO

Swiss-Garden International Hotels, Resorts and Inns has appointed Peter Gan (pictured) as COO. In his new role, Gan will be responsible for leading the operations for the group’s portfolio of 10 hotels, including Swiss-Inn Chinatown Kuala Lumpur, Swiss-In Johor Bahru and Swiss-Garden Hotel and Residences Kuala Lumpur.He will also be responsible for steering the company's future growth and maximising potential of the brand especially in new markets, to achieve greater yield. Gan was most recently the COO and GM for Aoluguya Hotels and Resorts based in Harbin, China. During his time there, he played a crucial role in implementing effective strategies to increase overall revenue throughout its five hotels.Before that, he was COO for Ansa Hotels and Resorts, and GM - operations and hotel openings for Dusit International, where he successfully handled high-profile openings of several hotels in China within a period of two years. He has also worked at Berjaya Hotels, covering hotels in both Malaysia and Mauritius, and led teams in Singapore, Australia and Africa. Gan brings with him approximately 30 years of leadership experience.Swiss-Garden International is a hospitality group established in 1991 and is present in areas including Melaka, Kuantan, Damai Laut and Kedah.
