StrikeAd has appointed Ryan Murray as general manager for the Singapore and APAC office. Murray has worked as GM, Americas for StrikeAd in New York since launching the business commercially in January 2012 and been a pivotal to growing the StrikeAd US business.Murray will be responsible for developing the strategy not only within the Singapore market but across the broader APAC territory. The markets under his remit include India, Japan, China, South Korea, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand. He will be tasked to ensure StrikeAd is well positioned locally and also globally with numerous global partnerships. Prior to joining StrikeAd, Murray spent four years at the New York-based online ad development company, Collective."Over the past two and a half years, it’s been hugely exciting to be leading a business that’s seen exceptional growth in the Americas as we’ve seen mobile programmatic become an ever more important part of advertising budgets. Advertisers and agencies are looking to take advantage of the unique capabilities that mobile brings, such as location, and are also looking to have the greater degree of control, insight and scale that working with a mobile DSP brings,”  Murray said adding that adapting those learnings to the APAC market is a hugely exciting challenge.Gavin Stirrat, StrikeAd COO with responsibility for international revenues added: “I am delighted Murray is joining us in Singapore to run and grow our well-established Asian team. Programmatic trading is the future - and increasingly the present - of Mobile media. ”Murray will be reporting to Stirrat in his new role.Meanwhile, David Plante, who joined StrikeAd two years ago as VP of Sales from Accuen, assumes the role of SVP of Sales for Americas and will be responsible for building on Murray’s success.
