The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) is currently in the midst of looking for an agency consultant.
According to Lim Shoo Ling, deputy director, strategic marketing & brand, Singapore Tourism Board, the consultants will help the board conduct a two-way performance evaluation between STB and its appointed creative, media, digital and digital production agencies.
Currently STB works with XM Asia on digital, JWT on creative and MEC on its media account.
Lim also confirmed that the consultants will have to monitor and determine annual scope and fees, and assist with year-end fee closure and manage pitches if required. These services will cover an assessment period of three fiscal years, with an option to renew these services across another two fiscal years.
This is not the first time a government body has put out a tender looking for consultants to monitor its agency relations. The Singapore Economic Development Board last appointed R3 for the purposes of financial auditing and agency performance management.
R3 performs fee review and reconciliation exercises, and put in place a performance measurement framework for EDB’s appointed agencies, The Secret Little Agency (TSLA), TBWA and MEC.
