Starwood Hotels & Resorts Asia has appointed iProspect as its content marketing agency following a pitch.
The appointment comes ahead of the brand launching a new content hub which iProspect will be assisting in creating. Starwood has confirmed the win to Marketing but declined to comment further. Starwood also clarified the pitch was a closed door and is currently by invite only. The appointment is for the APAC market
“Asia Pacific is Starwood’s fastest growing region and we are potentially looking for an alternative agency to assist us in creativity and consolidating our content strategy,” read the statement given to Marketing.
Late last year, news broke out that Marriott International was acquiring Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide under a definitive merger agreement. The former bought Starwood Hotels and Resorts for US$12.2 billion in stocks and cash to create the world’s largest hotel company.
The transaction combines Starwood’s leading lifestyle brands and international footprint with Marriott’s strong presence in the luxury and select-service tiers, as well as the convention and resort segment, creating a more comprehensive portfolio.
