StarHub launches media review

StarHub has launched a media review.

Marketing understands that StarHub has also reached out to other media agencies for the review.  It has appointed marketing analytics agency Ebiquity to manage the review process. StarHub declined to comment on the agencies shortlisted for the pitch.

The incumbent on the account is Mindshare Singapore. The agency has been its media agency of record since March 2009.

In a statement to Marketing, StarHub said: “At this point, we can only confirm that we are reviewing our existing media agency relationship, and we have appointed Ebiquity to manage this process.”

StarHub has recently been making a push for digital transformation. Last year it hired Howie Lau as chief marketing officer and Rod Strother, former Lenovo marketer as VP, digital transformation.

In August 2015, StarHub received SG$10 million of funding from the Media Development Authority (MDA) under its Public Service Broadcast Contestable Funds Scheme (PCFS) in a bid to push for more local content.
