StarHub and Disney bring Marvel heroes up close and personal with SG fans

StarHub and The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia (Disney) has collaborated to deliver unique Marvel experiences to StarHub customers through exclusive privileges, experiential events and promotions.The collaboration for two-years will see both companies coming together to bring Marvel’s cast of characters to various StarHub customer touchpoints such as social media platforms, StarHub Rewards programme, StarHub Shops and events.The collaboration will span across four upcoming Marvel Studios movie titles - Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Captain Marvel and the sequel to Avengers: Infinity War.In line with Avengers: Infinity War, the first wave of activities will kick off with a superfan Facebook contest, open to all StarHub customers, providing opportunities to meet the movie cast. A lucky draw will also be open to all StarHub Mobile postpaid, Pay-TV and Broadband customers. Grand prizes include a Marvel-themed adventure to Las Vegas which includes a visit to the Marvel’s Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. interactive exhibit. Other prizes include a life-sized Infinity Gauntlet and superhero collectables. Experiential events such as exclusive screenings of Marvel Studios movies will also be held for StarHub customers.In addition, the StarHub Shop in Bugis Junction will undergo a Marvel makeover to bring Marvel and its characters up close and personal with customers. Expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2018, the shop will be decked out with a Marvel showcase, to enable customers to experience what the partnership has to offer. More unique Marvel-centric promotions will also be revealed at a later date.According to Amit Malhotra, country head, The Walt Disney Company Singapore, said with this collaboration, Marvel fans in Singapore will be treated to great experiences through StarHub’s extensive network and platforms.Howie Lau, chief marketing officer of StarHub said in a press statement that this collaboration is in line with the brand's commitment to delight customers with a 360 degree entertainment offering, which covers its pay TV content, movie screenings and experiential events.“Avengers: Infinity War is widely expected to be the blockbuster hit of the year and is the perfect time for both companies to collaborate and explore innovative ways to engage fans. Marvel is one of the world’s most loved brands and we are thrilled to partner Disney to offer even more exclusive privileges to our customers,” Lau added.
