Standard Chartered Bank Indonesia names new CEO

Standard Chartered Bank Indonesia has appointed Rino Donosepoetro (pictured) as chief executive officer of the franchise in Indonesia, effective 1 September 2016.He will be based in Jakarta, Indonesia, and reporting to Ajay Kanwal, regional CEO, ASEAN and South Asia. He replaced Tse Koon Shee.In his role as CEO for the Bank in Indonesia, Donosepoetro will be responsible for developing and executing the strategy for the business; building relationships with local clients and businesses, as well as regulators and stakeholders; and bottom-line profitability and capital.In a career spanning close to 20 years with Standard Chartered, Donosepoetro has held a number of diverse roles across businesses and functions in several markets including United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, Singapore and the Falkland Islands. He is currently the CEO of the Bank’s Brunei franchise. Donosepoetro’s successor in Brunei will be announced in due course.Ajay Kanwal, regional CEO, ASEAN and South Asia, Standard Chartered Bank said:“Donosepoetro's knowledge in the areas of audit and governance will further strengthen our business and franchise in Indonesia.
