The chief executive of South China Media has hinted at an expansion of its portfolio, including English-language extensions of key titles.
Speaking at the JESSICA Most Successful Women 2013 Award held last night to celebrate its 13th year in publishing, CEO Jessica Ng said the company was considering an English-language version of its leading JESSICA title.
Another men’s magazine and digital expansion is also under consideration, she said.
Commenting on the impact of digital to its stable of magazines, she said it was both a challenge and an opportunity.
“To tell you the truth we are scared, but at the same time it’s a big opportunity because it means we can bring our brand to all the places we couldn’t before, because we were fixed to printing.”
The JESSICA Most Successful Women 2013 Award honoured women in Hong Kong and Greater China who have excelled in their career sectors.
