Global social media agency We Are Social has appointed former Straits Times website editor Wui-Liang Lim as content director for its Singapore office.In this new role for the Singapore team, Lim will oversee the editorial output of the agency, identify new content opportunities for clients while enhancing We Are Social’s leadership in social content creation and audience engagement in the region. Lim joins an already growing team of creative and content specialists who providing support to brands such as Lenovo and Intel among others.While leading a team of 10 photojournalists at The Straits Times, Lim conceptualised and led the launch of the publication’s first visual journalism website, Through the Lens. Lim most recently served as Southeast Asia Editor for Bing Apps, Microsoft’s news and lifestyle apps, overseeing a team across the region to curate, edit and publish images, videos and stories from a variety of content partners.Lim said: “I’m honoured to be part of an agency at the forefront of social media marketing. I look forward to bringing a storytelling approach to content - one that is driven by visuals and informed by current affairs.
