Starcom MediaVest Group has appointed Hanley King as global network clients (GNC) lead for Asia Pacific to drive growth and expansion its clientele across the region.
Based in Singapore, King will work closely with SMG’s global and regional leadership which includes Bill Tucker, president of global client operations and John Sheehy, president of global operations.
He will report to Tucker and also work closely with Bertilla Teo, CEO Greater China, Jeffrey Seah, country chair, SEA, John Sintras, CEO Australia and other existing GNC account leads.
King (pictured) was previously regional president for Central and Eastern Europe for Universal McCann. He has over 10 years of experience in IPG and has had stints as chief operating officer of McCann Worldgroup and as managing director of Universal McCann in Prague, Czech Republic.
Going forward the agency will leverage its “extensive GNC expertise and AOR relationships from all across the globe for the Asia-Pacific region,” Tucker said.
Some of SMG’s key clients in Asia Pacific include Avon, Bank of America Merril Lynch, Coca-Cola, Emirates, Mars-Wrigley, Mead Johnson, Novartis, P&G, RIM, Samsung and UBS among others.
