Singtel Advertising names new director of advertising sales

Singtel Advertising, a media platform under Group Consumer, has appointed Melvin Yong as new director of advertising sales.Yong will be responsible for leading the advertising sales team. In this role, he will be instrumental in driving sales of advertising inventory generated by Singtel services offered on various platforms such as Singtel TV, NewsLoop and insing.com. He will be reporting to Anurag Dahiya, head of content and advertising sales.A 17-year veteran in the media and advertising scene, Yong joins from CJ E&M, a Korean entertainment and media content conglomerate, where he set up new sales teams and developed the sales and marketing strategy for each market in Asia. He began his career in the media industry with MediaCorp and has held senior roles in media consulting, sales and partnerships.Anurag Dahiya said: "Yong brings valuable know-how to Singtel Advertising and will be an asset to the team.
