Sinclair takes PR for new Expedia push

Online travel agency Expedia has appointed marketing and PR agency Sinclair Communications to manage its Hong Kong site officially launches today.The appointment will see the agency handle the site’s launch activities, followed by an ongoing partnership that includes both public relations and social media activation within the Hong Kong market.In a press statement, Expedia said the HK$124 billion Hong Kong online travel market was growing at 10% a year with a broadband penetration of over 200%.“This is a very exciting time for Expedia to launch in Hong Kong," said Kathleen Tan, CEO of Expedia Asia."People here love to travel and with the increase of independent travelers, smart consumers are turning to online travel sites to find the best deals."
