National Stadium grants exclusivityWorld Sport Group has put up 61 executive suites for sale under the National Stadium Club membership programme at the Singapore Sports Hub. This the first corporate hospitality programme in Singapore and Southeast Asia and the suites will be available at the newly revamped National Stadium which is slated to open in 2014. Executive suites are priced between SG$72,000 and SG$272,000 annually. World Sport Group is in charge of the sales and marketing of the membership programme. Marketing tactics mostly include a personal one to one approach.Siemens supports for local fundraiserIn support of President Challenge, a local year-long fundraising campaign, Siemens has raised more than SG$180,000 for this year. Its efforts include organising two separate bazaar's at the Siemens Centre and volunteering at its beneficiaries. It also organised the Siemens President's Challenge Charity Golf event, attracting 120 golfers to the Sentosa Golf Club. Donations will go to the Association for Persons with Special Needs, Bright Vision Hospital, Life Community Services Society and Society for the Physically Disabled.CNN investigates mobile technologyFrom now until 7 October, global news network CNN has rolled out "Our Mobile Society", an initiative that focuses on how mobile technology has impacted society to become a need. The month-long coverage will be broadcasted across all CNN platforms, including a feature on tablet magazine Zite. CNN iReport will allow users to create and share its reports from the mobile site, while CNN Digital will investigate topics related to mobile. Additionally, CNN International will air the programme in its "News Stream" segment.Samsonite gives back to societyLuggage brand Samsonite has launched its month-long business trade-in campaign, allowing customers to purchase business or laptop bags while trading in old ones. The company paired up with the Salvation Army and the Singapore Red Cross to help the less privileged in Singapore, donating its old bags to both foundations. Samsonite will also offer a 30% discount for new purchases, and will run the campaign until 14 October.BBC restructures international news teamBBC has made changes to its international news portfolio, including combining its TV and digital news operations together. As such, BBC World News will go live this quarter and high-definition transmission has already been launched in Asia Pacific. Additionally, the UK-based news network will also continue the roll out of a ‘responsive design' news website, which optimises the BBC site for smartphone and feature phones. Jim Egan has been appointed chief operating officer of the newly created BBC Global News, formed from the merging of bbc.com/news and BBC World News services.
