SIA's revamped website draws flak

Singapore Airlines' (SIA) recently revamped website as well as its call centre are currently still experiencing problems, despite angering customers since Sunday.Spokesperson Nicholas Ionides implored customers for understanding yesterday as the airline sought to "rectify" problems."As with any major IT project, we do expect teething problems but we expect to be able to iron out these in issues in due course. We will closely monitor the website's performance and make adjustments where necessary," he added.Calls made to the call centre were answered by a voicemail informing customers of "teething problems" on the new website still.The website went live on Sunday but had to be taken down for more than an hour because of software bugs.Forums have been rife with user complaints of the slow system and technical glitches with the site.According to local papers, the site revamp was handled by Sapient Interactive which has its headquarters in the United States.
