Shopper marketing firm shopper360 has entered into Myanmar via a joint venture with Pahtama Group. Known as ShopperPlus Myanmar, the new company allows brands to gain effective presence and visibility in supermarkets via in-store point-of-sale banners, product sampling and promoters.ShopperPlus Myanmar was officially launched in conjunction with "Retail - The New Era", a creative fair by retail chain City Mart, which was also founded by the owner of Pahtama Group Win Win Tint. The retail chain has been working with ShopperPlus Myanmar since 2018 to improve shopper experience by reaching shoppers with more engaging and relevant content.A+M has reached out to shopper360 for additional information about the joint venture.Executive chairman of shopper360, Sue Ann Chew, said while the team has organised several creative fairs in the past for its consumers in Malaysia, this was the first time its in-store advertising formats are displayed live in-store."ShopperPlus Myanmar did a remarkable job showcasing the best from Malaysia, as well as what we could do for brands in-store in Myanmar. We had a positive response from those who came and more importantly, it was evident of the great partnership we have with our retail partner City Mart Holdings," she added.Meanwhile, City Mart's COO Patrick Simon said it has been an "exceptional" joint collaboration event between Shopperplus Myanmar and City Mart to celebrate the launch of a new service to suppliers, brands and consumer goods companies."This latest partnership with Shopperplus Myanmar is in line with our ongoing mission to enhance shopper experience for all our customers. Together, we aspire to provide engaging and innovative in-store brand advertising inside our network of 150 stores, such as Marketplace, City Mart, Ocean, City Care and City Express," Simon added.Last year, shopper360 appointed Matthew Ho as group CEO, assuming the responsibility for driving the growth of the group, including accelerating the development of shopper360’s strategic offerings. He was previously client partner of Facebook in Malaysia, where he managed the local and regional businesses. He has over 15 years of experience working in different industries across the Asia Pacific region and the US.
