SHKP launches new new residents leasing brand

Sun Hung Kai Properties (SHKP) has launched a residential leasing brand titled “TOWNPLACE” (Townplace), to meet the needs of millennials looking for flexible leasing terms.

A new logo has been designed with an emphasis on the idea of ownership, with the letter T and P containing brackets to include the word “own”.

“With the launch of Townplace, SHKP is eyeing young professionals from around the world. The brand, with its prime locations, flexible leasing options and all-inclusive services and facilities, aims to expand the rental market for millennials, thus strengthening the SHKP’s residential leasing portfolio,” said Belinda Kuan, general manager of Signature Homes, SHKP.

The brand consists of two residential buildings in Central and Kennedy Town. The two Townplace properties offer a total of 421 studios and four-bedroom apartments, with the leasing terms being as short as a month.

Residents of the building in Central will be able to customise their stays by choosing from serviced apartments and furnished apartments, with two styles of furnishings by Townplace, or unfurnished apartments for residents to decorate themselves for a more personalised living space.

“Townplace values the new way of living for modern-day millennials, and their preference for flexibility with personalised options. We aim to create an ‘own’ lifestyle beyond a simple residential living experience. This echoes the brand’s philosophy,” Kuan commented.
