Samsung Electronics has called for a global, media, creative and digital pitch. This involves the Singapore market as well, sources have told Marketing.
R3, headquartered in Singapore, is also understood to be running the pitch. Samsung and R3 could not be reached for comment at the time of publishing.
Starcom MediaVest Group, handles the majority of Samsung’s global media business. The company’s creative partners globally include Leo Burnett and Cheil, however, it also works with other agencies.
A major advertiser, Samsung reported US$3.83 billion in ad spend in 2013, according to its financial reports.
However, earlier last year, in Asia, Marketing reported a mass slashing of its regional staff, including its marketing team.
