Prabhvir Sahmey, director of search and& mobile, Mindshare Singapore has left the agency to take up a role at Google India as head of media platforms.
Marketing understands that at Google he will be tasked to maintain and grow the revenue stream with new business and maintain the sales pipeline for new business.
Google could not respond with more details at the time of writing.
At Mindshare for nearly four years, Sahmey was responsible for the mobile marketing team launched in July 2012, in response to an increase in mobile spend from its clients.
In the past, he has also had stints at technology driven media solutions companies Surewaves, MindShare Interaction and Tata Interactive Systems.
While no direct replacement is made, Mindshare Singapore MD Leela Nair told Marketing Muhammad Abdullah will be handling the duties, going forward.
“Muhammad has been working with Sahmey for four years and will do an outstanding job at leading the team and taking out search offering to greater heights,” she said, adding that Sahmey was a wonderful asset to the team and helped build “the best in class search offering.”
