Saatchi Arachnid appoints creative head

Saatchi & Saatchi Arachnid has appointed Cheah Pih Nyuk (pictured) as creative head, marking the agency’s fifth returning employee in recent months.

Pih Nyuk, or ‘Pickers’ as she is fondly referred to, had built the early part of her career at Arachnid, prior to its post-acquisition rebranding to Saatchi & Saatchi Arachnid.

During her first nine-year stint at Arachnid, Pickers was a senior copywriter on numerous award-winning pieces of work across the agency’s blue-chip clients such as Coke, MINI, Unilever and many others.

She then left Arachnid and joined G2 Direct Interactive for a year and a half, working on regional accounts Pantene and Tiger Beer, as well as local accounts Guinness Anchor Berhad, Maybank, Sony, Alliance Bank and Abbott.

“We are so proud of Pickers’ achievements over the years. She has developed and matured as an outstanding creative who’s strategic and genuinely tuned to helping clients achieve business success” commented Saatchi & Saatchi Arachnid’s managing director Chin Weng Keong.
