Ryan Financial rebranded as Ryan Communication

Corporate communications agency Ryan Financial Communications has rebranded itself as Ryan Communication, dropping the word "financial" from its name.Damien Ryan, founder and managing director at Ryan Communication, said the new name reflects the agency's diversification from crisis and issue management for financial companies into content, digital and social media marketing for financial and non-financial B2B corporations.This diversification started two to three years ago and the agency's non-financial clients include companies in energy, real estate and logistics as well as the public sector.Today, around half of the agency's clients are in the financial industry compared to 80% of clients offering financial services in 2011."Our old brand name did not reflect what we were doing, which was applying transferable content marketing skills for companies facing similar communication challenges as highly regulated financial companies," Ryan said.The agency has a new website and also changed its logo from dark blue to teal and light grey.After the rebranding, the agency will hire more staff specialised in content, digital and social media strategy.The agency has offices in Hong Kong and Singapore, and will open a new office in Shanghai in the first quarter of 2015.
