Tingting Wu RF Thunder Beijing

RF Thunder moves into Beijing

RF Thunder, a sister company of Ruder Finn Asia, has opened its fourth office in Beijing, naming Tingting Wu as general manager.

This follows the establishment of an RF Thunder office in Hong Kong in January.

RF Thunder, formerly Thunder Communications, was established in Shanghai in 2001 and was acquired by Ruder Finn in 2011.

Ruder Finn said RF Thunder has grown at an average of 88% year-on-year since its acquisition, including a 200% rise in business and 33% increase in staff numbers in 2014.

The Beijing office will focus on luxury and lifestyle communications and crisis management, as well as working closely with Ruder Finn Innovation Studios to blend traditional PR, CRM and digital PR offerings.

Tingting Wu has some 15 years experience working across manufacturing, luxury and high-end consumer goods, automobile, travel, and retail sectors. She has worked with clients including Mont Blanc, Hermès, Cartier, Bentley, Audi, Sephora, Michelin and L’Oréal.

She joins RF Thunder having worked with Ruder Finn for over 10 years.

“I’m confident that with the opening of RF Thunder Beijing, we will further consolidate our network and extend our strategic communications expertise across Greater China to provide better service to our clients,” Elan Shou, managing director and senior vice-president of Ruder Finn Greater China, said.

“I am very very excited about the launch of RF Thunder Beijing which has been in the planning stage for some time. We have hit the ground running and, with our strong network support, we can provide clients with first class comprehensive service,” Wu added.

“As Ruder Finn’s sister company, we complement each other through our different market expansion and opportunities.”
