Reebok settles global creative pitch

Following its split with DDB, Reebok has appointed Venables Bell & Partners as its global creative agency. The San Francisco-based shop had to fight it out with as Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and Mother in a global creative review.

The win was announced on Venables Bell’s website. Other clients for the agency include Google, Audi, Intel and Skyy vodka.

“Reebok represents exactly the kind of opportunity that excites us most: an iconic brand led by a brave client with a genuine desire to challenge category conventions,” Will McGinness, the agency’s executive creative director said on its site.

DDB had worked with the sports brand from 2009 to early 2012 as well after which Reebok decided to hand the account over to mcgarrybowen.

Last January, DDB had once again reclaimed the account with Reebok’s head of global brand marketing Yan Martin stating that the brand was excited to bring DDB back as the lead creative agency as the team understood the mission of the Reebok brand.
