Rapp gets new local head

Rapp, the marketing services arm of DDB Group Singapore has appointed Joanna Tan to the post of managing director for its Singapore office following the departure of Sandipan Roy.Roy joined the agency last year and will be leaving in December 2011 to pursue his personal interests."Roy has led our Rapp team through the year, and expanded on our analytic and CRM capabilities. He'll always be a friend to all of us at DDB and we wish him all the very best ahead," David Tang, president and CEO, DDB Group Singapore, said.For Tan, this marks her return to DDB Group Singapore since she left in 2009. Prior to that she was business director at DDB overseeing key government accounts and has also worked at MTV Asia as head of marketing and communications for Southeast Asia where she helped build and establish brand footprint across the region.As managing director of the Rapp Singapore office, Joanna will be responsible for client business development, and will build on Rapp's new services in content development and partnership alliances."Joanna offers a total marketing approach and makes an ideal leader for our Singapore operation. Her strong focus on the client business results helps us to get the best in ATL, digital, data, content and activation for our Rapp practice," Tang said.With over a decade of integrated marketing experience across advertising, loyalty, retail and content development, Tan has provided her extensive expertise in client management and brand consultation to brands across several categories, including tourism, airlines, hospitality, FMCG, financial and banking services and government.
