R3 has appointed Melissa Lea as managing director in the US. Lea joins R3 with a rich background in digital and marketing strategy.
Prior to joining the consultancy as MD, she was advising several startups on all aspects of their growth strategy, with a particular emphasis on marketing, branding, and strategic partnerships. Before that, she was president and CEO of Blitz Media which served clients on a local, national, and international basis.
Earlier in her career, she ran business development and marketing at both Arnold Worldwide and MullenLowe, and also co-founded a consortium-based marketing firm which, in less than a year’s time, attracted major national and regional clients. She began her career began in New York City serving blue-chip clients at Scali, McCabe, Sloves Direct and Grey Entertainment & Media.
“Lea has an in-depth understanding of what clients look for in their communications partners,” said Greg Paull, principal and co-Founder of R3. “We know she will bring insights into the strategies that can lead our clients to both near and long term success.”
From a standing start 18 months ago, R3 now has seven Consultants and Researchers in the US in Boston, New York, Miami, Atlanta, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
“We’ve moved some talent from other offices, and found some other digital natives based in the US to support our drive” added Paull. “Combined, our US team now has twenty years of working experience within R3 and more than 100 years in the industry,” he said.
