Qatar Airways picks PR agency

Qatar Airways has appointed Waggener Edstrom following a regional pitch for the markets of Singapore and Malaysia. Both Qatar Airways and Waggener Edstom have confirmed the appointment.The agency will help to improve the airline’s presence locally and also develop the local media network. In the Singapore market, Qatar is looking for an agency to strengthen its relationships with the local market and support media relations. For Malaysia,the agency is tasked to enhance Qatar Airways’ image based on the relevance in the Malaysian market.The appointment is for a period of three years. Communication duties for the brand were previously managed in-house. The pitch was called in March last year.
