Thierry Halbroth is joining Publicis Worldwide in Hong Kong as executive creative director in January 2016.
He is formerly executive creative director of Commonwealth/McCann’s Bangkok cluster, McCann Worldgroup’s dedicated agency for General Motors’ Chevrolet. He oversaw the creative and marketing output for major markets including Japan, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia.
“Thierry has been at the forefront of leading the change for top-class clients for many years.” said David Gompel, CEO of Publicis Worldwide Greater China.
Prior to his Chevrolet role, Halbroth was global executive creative director of McCann’s Cathay Pacific Central Team, based in Hong Kong. He led the dedicated group’s output for all Cathay Pacific’s communications including digital, television, print, outdoor and below the line communications for Hong Kong and 27 countries worldwide.
Halbroth has also led creative development for other brands including British Airways, Qantas, Mandarin Oriental Hotels, ZUJI.com, eBay, Gucci, Dunhill, Marie Claire and Hyperion.
Halbroth is the latest senior creative leader to join major Publicis Worldwide APAC offices. Last week the network announced the appointment of Brian Yang as ECD in Beijing and in October the regionally famous pairing of Troy Lim and Jon Loke were announced as ECDs of Publicis Worldwide Singapore.
