Publicis Groupe unveils Digitas brand in Indonesia

Publicis Groupe has launched its marketing agency Digitas in Indonesia. Digitas Indonesia will provide brands with access to diverse expertise across creative, media, CRM, data, strategy, experience design, technology along with offline retail, trade and channel experience all under one roof.

The agency will be led by Khalid Raheel (pictured left) as managing director. He will report into Brian Capel (pictured right), CEO of Publicis Groupe, Indonesia and Jane Lin-Baden, managing partner APAC, Publicis Groupe who recently assumed an additional North Asia remit. Based in Jakarta, the 110 person team will service clients such as Telkom Indonesia, Nestle, McDonalds,  Exxon Mobil, Mercedez Benz, Coca Cola, Campbell’s Arnott’s, Mars Group, P&G and Phillip Morris to name a few.

Raheel said the team believes that a data-driven understanding of real-world consumer behaviours offers brands to connect with consumers in meaningful ways and allowing for sustainable growth into the future. “We believe in driving consumer journeys from search to shelf through the power of data to drive both offline to online and online to offline,” he added.

The move comes after Digitas expanded to markets such as Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and most recently Dubai. The agency now has offices in nine markets in the region, and plans to mark 13 countries by end of 2019.

In addition to launching in Indonesia, Publicis Groupe will also be transforming Razorfish, its existing digital, technology and retail agency, into Digitas. This will be supported by other agencies in the network such as Leo Burnett, Publicis, Saatchi & Saatchi and Arcade. According to Publicis Groupe, Razorfish in Indonesia has always been known for its journey driven consulting approach and with the transformation to Digitas. The new offering looks to leverage a global network with full access to the Groupe’s ‘Power of One’ scale and organisation.

Meanwhile, Capel said with the Groupe’s vision and ambition for Indonesia, Digitas will drive the marketing transformation within the Power of One agenda. “Our existing clients are excitied with the prospects that Digitas brings to the playing field. With their strong consumer journey led consulting & execution capability across online and offline, Digitas offers unique understandings and solutions for brands who are striving to deliver seamless consumer experiences,” he added.
