Publicis Groupe announces key appointments across APAC and North Asia

Publicis Group has announced a number of leadership appointments and adjustments to strengthen the management of its North Asia business.Katie Xie (pictured middle) will join as chief talent officer North Asia in late September to lead the HR and talent organisation of five markets, including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea. Xie comes over from the Walt Disney Company where she recently served as HR executive director for Disney's North Asia region across all lines of business, including consumer products, studio, digital, media, gaming, publishing, Disney English, and Disney Store.Andy Ho (left) has been appointed as global client partner of Publicis Groupe China. Possessing 22 years of experience in automotive, FMCG, and technology, through leadership positions in various agencies, including group strategist at integration and innovation of Dentsu Aegis China, key client president of Beijing Dentsu, as well as managing director of McGarryBowen China. Ho will focus on driving the growth of integrated global clients in Publicis Groupe China.In addition to these key appointments, Publicis Groupe North Asia is making two leadership adjustments as well.Bertilla Teo, co-CEO of Publicis Groupe Greater China, has decided to take a sabbatical leave to focus on her newborn children.“We are very grateful to Teo for her leadership and contribution over the last 10 years. During this time, she has built a solid media team, accelerating our capabilities and strengthening relationships with clients and partners,” said Jane Lin-Baden, managing partner of Publicis Groupe APAC and CEO of North Asia.Teo's new role will be announced in due course.Last but not least, Irene Chang (right), currently managing director of Publicis Media Taiwan, has been promoted to CEO of Publicis Media Taiwan.  During her stint, Chang has helped the agency win several key accounts including FarEastTone, McDonald’s, Estee Lauder Group, and Pernod Ricard Group.Xie, Ho, Chang and the Publicis Media Greater China leadership team will report to Lin-Baden.
