Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad (PAMB) has appointed Tan Kay How (pictured) as its new chief marketing officer.
Tan takes over the reigns from Fiona Liao who is now the chief brand officer at PAMB. Reporting directly to Philip Seah, chief executive officer of PAMB, Tan will oversee the brand, product development, and marketing analytics and intelligence divisions of the company.
Tan has had 15 years of experience in actuarial and product marketing in both mature and new markets. He has held various senior management level positions which saw him driving strategic and tactical regional and local product management in the various lines of business including Takaful in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and China.
In a company statement, Seah said the appointment is in line with PAMB’s philosophy of “hiring high caliber talents who have exhibited strong leadership over their professional career.”
He added: “With a strong actuarial background and extensive experience in the insurance industry, I have no doubt that he will continue to push the boundaries in product innovation and drive the brand forward.”
