Pos Malaysia pays homage to PM Mahathir with limited-edition stamps

Pos Malaysia will release a special set of limited-edition stamps, in conjunction with the 93rd birthday of Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad. Each folder set will contain stamps showcasing the prime minister and his wife Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali, as well as the historic moment of his swearing in as Malaysia's seventh prime minister.According to group CEO Al-Ishsal Ishak, Pos Malaysia is paying homage to a "prolific icon" of the nation with the stamps, adding that the prime minister has dedicated his whole life to advancing Malaysia. Hence, this is Pos Malaysia's way of thanking him for his efforts, Bernama reported.Additionally, RM5 from the sale of every folder set will go to Tabung Harapan, a trust fund created by the government to enable Malaysians to contribute towards the repayment of the nation's debts.
