Pizza Hut Malaysia drives expansion efforts with 400th store

Pizza Hut Malaysia has launched its 400th store in Central i-City Shah Alam. In commemoration of this milestone, the company is giving out 4,000 pizzas to its customers, as well as delivering 400 pizzas to 10 charitable organisations within the Klang Valley. It is also running a promotion until 30 April 2019, selling its personal pizza at RM4. According to chief operating officer Loi Liang Tok, Pizza Hut aims to reach 408 stores by the end of 2019, in line with its mission to enable easier access to better pizza. The company will further extend its offerings in Malaysia, opening new stores in untapped regional locations in Sabah, Sarawak, Perak and Penang. As part of its expansion efforts, Pizza Hut has also introduced its fast casual delco stores, equipped with fast turnaround back-of-house kitchen systems and semi self-service counter to increase serving speed. The stores were built to cater to the increasing demand of food delivery, and provide a revamped casual dine-in experience for its customers. According to Dato’ Seri Mohamed Azahari Mohamed Kamil, managing director of QSR Brands, the new store signifies Pizza Hut’s “steadfast growth” which has been “stellar”. “The expansion of offerings through our new store format and the enhancements of our existing stores enable us to up our ante in staying relevant and, help us to serve our community better, while offering vibrant dining experiences and staying delightful,” said Kamil.
