Pharmaceutical brand Rohto-Mentholatum hands media duties to BPN

Rohto-Mentholatum Malaysia, a manufacturer and marketer of non-prescription drugs and healthcare products, has appointed BPN to provide integrated media services. It will also further explore other opportunities within IPG Mediabrands’ offerings across social media management and services, campaign planning and digital strategy. The incumbent on the account is Carat.

Headquartered in the US, Rohto-Mentholatum has operations in Malaysia, Australia, South Africa, Canada, Scotland, Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Mexico, South Korea, China, and Japan. Its manufacturing is carried out in 26 locations and its products are marketed and distributed in over 150 countries. Among the list of products under Rohto-Mentholatum include OXY, Hada Labo, Sunplay, LipIce, Selsun, Deep Heat and Mentholatum.

Rohto-Mentholatum’s sales and marketing director, Lim Mei Yuen, said as market dynamics shift, the company also seeks to increase its dynamism, and this new partnership with BPN supports that push.

Meanwhile, Darren Yuen, BPN and Reprise’s group managing director, said the agency is keen on reimagining the success of Rohto-Mentholatum Malaysia to help drive effective business outcomes through increased engagement and conversations with its customers.
