P&G appoints distributor in Sarawak

Procter & Gamble Malaysia  has appointed Kim Teck Cheong Consolidated Berhad (KTC) as its distributor for Sarawak with effect from October 01, 2016.The appointment will manifest the group’s expansion and market coverage across East Malaysia, encompassing Sabah, Labuan and now Sarawak. KTC has also been appointed by P&G as distributor for the Brunei market through Ben Foods.The company has been a long-standing distributor with P&G in the other regions for more than 30 years. It currently distributes some of P&G’s international household names such as Olay, Oral B, Head & Shoulders, Pantene, Rejoice, Ambi Pur, Downy, Whisper, Gillette, Febreze, Dynamo, and Fab.Overall, this additional market access and distribution points are expected to contribute to Group’s revenue moving forward.“We believe that the additional distribution rights will further cement our growth in East Malaysia and provide us with a non-replicable competitive edge within our industry. Furthermore, with the help of our team and expertise, we will be able to continue our growth momentum in the future,” Dexter Lau, executive director of  KTC said.
