Petronas and Lazada partner up for 11.11 online revolution

Petronas Dagangan (PDB) has partnered with Lazada Malaysia to broaden its offerings with discounts on fuel gift cards and a giveaway of two million Lazada discount vouchers.

This is in a bid to strengthen PDB’s presence in the e-commerce space and in conjunction with Lazada’s Online Revolution campaign themed “Shop the Universe”, which runs from 11 November until 11 December 2017.

During the campaign, PDB offer pick up and drop off services for items bought via Lazada at nine of its Petronas stations within the Klang Valley. The number of stations will increase to 50 by the end of 2017 to boost convenience for Lazada customers. Additionally, both companies will also announce greater deals exclusively for the hourly flash sales, which will commence on 11 November at 11.11 a.m.

From now until 15 November, customers who buy five of Petronas’ Mornings@Mesra breakfast combo will receive a 10% Lazada discount voucher. Meanwhile, those who fuel up a minimum of RM50 at any Petronas station nationwide from now until 20 November will receive a 12% Lazada discount voucher.

“We are very excited for the opportunity to further strengthen our presence in the e-commerce space and widen our outreach via Lazada’s platform. This is in line with our effort to cater to the increasingly digital and cost-savvy customers who are constantly looking for convenience and value-add purchases,” PDB’s head of retail business, Aadrin Azly, said.

“Prior to this, we had also received overwhelming response for similar deals offered via other online platforms. As such, we are definitely continuing on this trend to diversify our retail point of sales,” he added.

“Brands such as PDB recognises the strategic importance of e-commerce in Malaysia and we look forward to working together with PDB in growing its online presence especially as we gear towards our biggest campaign of the year, Online Revolution, which kicks-off on 11th November,” CEO of Lazada Malaysia, Hans-Peter Ressel, said.
