Malaysia – Perodua has launched its first Twitter-based car check service PeroduaTweckbot this Chinese New Year (CNY), giving out free car checks and car washes.
PeroduaTweckbot was first conceptualised as a pilot project done in Klang Valley in conjunction with the 2011 Hari Raya festive season.
The campaign then received overwhelming response and will now be conducted every festive season to help Perodua car owners get their car ready for the long journey home.
Perodua car owners are able to tweet in their request for a free car check, with Perodua staff going to their house to conduct it.
In reaching out to those who do not tweet, the campaign is also promoted to audiences via print ads in The Star, China Press and Sin Chew Daily alongside Facebook announcements.
From 1 till 24 February, PeroduaTweckbot will be providing free 50+ point car checks. PeroduaTweckbot customers will also get a 20% discount on Perodua parts and accessories at selected Perodua Service Centres. An additional 10% discount will be given to Kelab Automotif Perodua Malaysia (KAPMA) members.
What’s different with this year’s initiative is the free car wash given to customers by the Perodua team when customers drop by selected locations for their free 50+ point car check.
Conceptualised by Spin Communications, the campaign is a good will initiative by Perodua, in line with its 20th anniversary theme ‘Driving Value’, said Sulasi Mahadi, head of brand management for Perodua.
