OPPO Malaysia has appointed LEWIS, the global communications agency, as its PR agency of record in Malaysia.
LEWIS will lead all public relations initiatives as part of a large-scale marketing effort by OPPO. The agency will collaborate to help devise and implement a range of campaigns aimed at building awareness and positive brand reputation for the fast growing mobile brand.
“Our decision to appoint LEWIS as OPPO PR agency of record is based on their significant experience managing campaigns within the consumer tech industry,” said Chen Lu, branding director of OPPO Malaysia.
“Given their expertise and track record, we believe that the OPPO brand will make a big splash among consumers across Malaysia.”

Last year Oppo unveiled plans to invest RM42 million in advertising and promotion activities. Chief executive officer William Fang said thephone brand aims to reach up to 4,000 sales points by year end and the investment in advertising and promotional activities is to help accomplish that target. Fang said that Oppo currently owns a 13% market share in the country and it plans to increase the share in over five to 10 years.
