Ooredoo Myanmar appoints branding and creative partner

Mobile service provider in Myanmar Ooredoo has appointed TBWA\Group Thailand as its strategic branding and creative partner.Ooredoo Group delivers mobile, fixed, broadband internet and corporate managed services tailored to the needs of the consumers and businesses across markets in the Middle East, North Africa and Southeast Asia.The company first entered Myanmar in August 2014 as a 3G network, and has since gained over six million subscribers, covering more than 80% of the population via its 3G Network.Charity Safford, chief marketing officer at Ooredoo Myanmar said: "We want to bring in the latest technology that will enable the people in Myanmar to get the fastest connectivity and best coverage. We are confident that our partnership with TBWA\Thailand will help us create change and exponentially grow our business.”Neel Chaurasia, director of international business at TBWA\Group Thailand said: "We're very excited to be working with Ooredoo. They are an innovative and forward thinking company, and we look forward to using the power of Disruption® to help them capture a larger share of the future."TBWA\Group Thailand's list of clients include brands such as Apple, CAT Telecom, CP Meiji, L’Oréal Paris, McDonald’s, Michelin, Nissan, Nestle, Ovaltine and SCG Group.Ooredoo Myanmar recently secured USD 300 million of funding from the Asian Development Bank and International Finance Corporation. The funds will help the company accelerate its reach over its modern telecommunications network in Myanmar.
