Omnicom’s Rapp gets global CEO

Omnicom’s Rapp, a global customer experience agency, has appointed Alexei Orlov as its chief executive officer. Orlov will assume the role of CEO in July and report directly to Dale A. Adams, chairman and CEO of DAS Group, a division under Omnicom.

Orlov (pictured) comes to Rapp from Volkswagen Group, where he served as chief marketing officer for the automaker’s Greater China and ASEAN region. Previously, he was senior partner at The Partnership, where he supported Draft FCB in Europe. He also held a number of senior positions at WPP’s Wunderman Worldwide before being named vice-chairman in 2005.

Orlov will succeed Bob Horvath who has served as CEO for the past eight years. Horvath will continue as Rapp’s global chairman.

“ With RAPP’s excellent teams and extensive global reach and experience, we will further build upon our capabilities to deliver highly relevant and impactful ways for our clients to reach, engage and support customers and consumers,” said Orlov.

He added that today, like never before, real-time context and rich content must go hand-in-hand, to allow clients better decision quality and real-time deliverables.
