OMG China appoints head of ad tech

Omnicom Media Group has appointed Jun Zhang as head of ad tech. In this position, Zhang will use his skills in media systems, big data and analytics to lead OMG’s ad tech team and advertising solutions for clients.

Over the course of his 15 years of experience, Zhang has worked with some of the world’s best organisations across multiple markets. From 2007, he worked for GE Capital as business intelligence architect to craft data-driven strategy for clients across ANZ markets.

Zhang relocated to Shanghai in 2011 where at Walmart E-commerce China (Yihaodian) he founded the Business Intelligence and Analytical department to leverage big data for optimising their clients’ marketing investments.

Prior to OMG, Zhang served as Asia head of regional development and digital media systems at GroupM to drive digital media technology initiatives for clients across APAC markets.
