OMD International names head of digital

OMD International, the specialist unit that manages multi-national client assignments, has appointed Jo Stevenson as head of digital.

In this regional role, Stevenson (pictured) will work across key global accounts and be responsible for driving thought leadership and digital strategy. Working closely with account teams, she will play a key role in mapping digital initiatives for OMD International clients.

With over 10 years of experience on the agency side of the business, Stevenson joins OMD International from Dentsu Aegis Network’s media investment arm, Amplifi, based out of London.

While at Amplify, she headed its Digital Display team for Vizeum’s client portfolio of brands such as BMW/Mini, 20th Century Fox, Inbev and Panasonic and worked on strategy, planning and execution across all aspects of the digital ecosystem covering programmatic display, social, mobile, video and content/partnerships. Stevenson is credited with integrating programmatic with Amplifi’s core digital planning function to ensure that programmatic sits firmly at the heart of all clients’ media strategies.

Scott Kimberley, managing partner, OMD International (Singapore) said, “OMD International is growing rapidly to cater to the needs of our client portfolio. Digital campaigns are at the heart of much of the work we do for our clients and a key driver of OMD International’s growth. Stevenson ’s proven expertise in this area will complement our service offering and we are delighted to have her on board.”

“These are exciting times for digital at OMD. We are beefing up our digital offering in sync with the shift in communications to be ever more digitally minded. Jo will be instrumental in enhancing our digital capabilities and we are confident that clients will benefit from her extensive experience in the industry. I warmly welcome her to the team,” added Stephen Li, APAC CEO, OMD.

Stevenson’s appointment is effective immediately and she reports to Scott Kimberley.
