OMD Hong Kong strengthens leadership

Gary Wong (left), previously general manager for OMD Hong Kong, has been promoted to managing director with immediate effect, while Desmond Ko has been appointed as business director to lead on key accounts at the agency.Wong has over 20 years' experience in the industry and he was part of the founding team when OMD Hong Kong was established in 1998.Having been promoted to general manager of OMD Hong Kong in 2014, Wong has played a key role in the agency’s growth, overseeing the strengthening of key client relationships, expanding the scope of services with existing clients, and playing an active role in driving new business. Ko brings over 18 years of experience on both the agency and client side, having previously worked for Ptarmigan Media (Asia) Limited, UM Hong Kong and Anheuser-Busch Asia.
