OMD China CEO Aaron Wild has resigned from his position, and is now on garden leave, Marketing confirms.Wild has been with Omnicom Media Group since 2010. Joining PHD Shanghai as head of the Unilever business in 2010, he was appointed as PHD China CEO in 2013. Though no detailed reason for his departure was given, it was revealed that Wild will be leaving for Australia.Said a spokesperson Omnicom Media Group, “After 8 years of service with Omnicom Media Group China, Wild has resigned from his position as CEO of OMD China to return to his homeland of Australia. Stephen Li, CEO of OMD APAC, will be working closely with the agency’s leadership team to ensure seamless continuity of its operations, while the network identifies the right candidate to continue accelerating its momentum in China.”In a statement, Li said, “Wild started his journey with our Group in 2010 and has been part of our growth in China ever since. He took the helm of OMD China in 2017 and helped ensure one of our region’s largest markets played its part in executing our network’s turnaround strategy in 2018. We thank him for his contributions over the years and wish him all the best for his return to Australia.”
