Ogilvy retains PR duties for World Economic Forum

The World Economic Forum (the Forum) has picked Ogilvy Public Relations Beijing as the Official PR Partner for its eighth Annual Meeting of the New Champions, which will take place in Tianjin, China from 10 to 12 September 2014. Widely known as the ‘Summer Davos,’ the Annual Meeting of the New Champions (the Meeting) is a global gathering on innovation, entrepreneurship, science and technology. Under this year’s theme, ‘Creating Value through Innovation,’ the program emphasizes experiential learning and creative thought. More than 1,600 leaders from business, government, research, art and culture from over 90 countries are expected to participate in this year’s meeting. Throughout eight years of successful partnership with the Forum, Ogilvy PR’s dedicated team of PR practitioners will continue to provide on-site meeting management and strategic counsel in both traditional and new media. "In addition, Ogilvy PR will help develop a long-term, local social media strategy and create real-time content for the Forum’s Chinese platforms, including WeChat and Weibo, to engage with the Forum’s growing online audience.
