Ogilvy & Mather strengthens Unilever team

Ogilvy & Mather has appointed Andre Laurentino as global executive creative director for Unilever. Laurentino (pictured left) is currently executive creative director at TBWA London and global creative director for McDonald's.He will join Ogilvy in February 2014 and report to Tham Khai Meng (pictured right), Worldwide chief creative officer.Laurentino will be responsible for driving the creative vision and delivery across all of O&M's Unilever brands. He will be based in London, which is the global hub for Unilever brands including Dove, Comfort and Hellmann's.The role was previously held by Gerry Human, now chief creative officer, Ogilvy & Mather London.Tham commented: “ With him on board, working closely with our clients, Sophie Hoffstetter our Worldwide managing director for Unilever, our teams and me, we are now fully geared up to take Unilever to the next level."Laurentino added that he sees “Ogilvy and Unilever as a potent combination that unleashes great culture-changing creativity. "
