Ogilvy has promoted Matthew Nisbet and John Koay to the dual position of co-executive creative directors in Hong Kong. The appointment follows Reed Collins’ promotion earlier in the year, expanding his chief creative officer role to North Asia (including Greater China, Japan, and Korea).Nisbet joined the Hong Kong office in 2006 as a Copywriter for OgilvyOne - at the time Ogilvy’s Direct and Interactive network. Over the last 12 years he has worked on brands including The Economist, Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts, American Express, Pizza Hut, and IBM.For Koay, who joined the network from Sydney shortly after Collins in 2013, has made his mark in the territory with multiple business wins and awards at international and local award shows for clients such as KFC, Pizza Hut, and Nike.Commenting on the appointment, Collins said:“Over the last 5+ years Ogilvy has consistently led the way in Hong Kong for business growth and creative accolades. The fact we are now the single most awarded local agency at Cannes in history is in no small part due to these two. Both Matthew and John have been central to the creative turnaround of our office in Hong Kong along with many other talented people.” Collins added that their recent work at Cannes Lions 2018 - ‘Hot & Spicy’ for KFC - was the Festival's biggest single award winner, taking home 5 Gold and 2 Silver Lions.
