Ocean Park has appointed X Social Group as its social media agency, following a five-way pitch last month.
The agency replaced four-year incumbent Muse Group, of which that relationship with Ocean Park, has now changed to a project-based one.
Under the one-year contract, X Social Group will be tasked to connect Mainland Chinese with Ocean Park by integrating O2O strategies with social media activation on China’s dominant social platforms such as WeChat and Sina Weibo.
The project scope on social media will range from micro films, celebrity engagements to mini games, aiming to enhance interactions with visitors before and during their visits.
Another task will be to encourage guests to visit Ocean Park for casual occasions instead of special occasions.
Established in 2013, X Social Group is a Hong Kong-based social media agency, with a presence in Shenzhen and Shanghai.
“We’re excited to be appointed and will start providing professional social media strategies in 360-degree ways for Ocean Park in the coming months,” said Wilson Wong, assistant account director at X Social Group.
